I read a lot of reviews about this leather strap and all of them were correct but I must add one comment and that is you cannot use this strap with your case due to a tight fit. If the BB Bold was made differently meaning the strap holder was built near the screen it would work perfectly. you still can use this strap using your case but your screen must be inserted first in case, but you can’t beat the price. Later peeps.

As one of the reviewers stated, this lanyard can only fit 2 or 3 fingers at most. I use it with my Blackberry Tour (where the lanyard anchor is near the top of the phone).
I like it because I can maintain a secure tie to my phone while using it, just slip two or three fingers into it and then grasp the phone–you don’t/can’t put it around your wrists.
The only con is the mid-silver piece appears to be metal and it could scratch up your screen or back if it rubs against your phone.

It does seem odd at first and I really couldn’t understand the full concept until I saw a online video. Yes, the strap really does only fit your fingers (3 or 4 depending on hand size). If it were a wrist strap, would you really want your phone dangling from your wrist if it slipped out of your hand. This way, when it slips, it’s still right there. It also seemed odd to have the strap on the bottom but again once you think about it, it makes sense. The strap is located on the bottom, therefore allowing the phone to rest perfectly in the palm of your hand without having to deal with a excess strap. The leather is a bit stiff but I’m sure as with most leather, it will give with use and become more comfortable in your hand (well around your fingers). I just got mine today and I’m so please that I had to write in immediately in case someone out there was as confused as I was about this strap. As with most things there is a negative. If you have a skin on your BB, the handle of the strap won’t go through the precut hole on the skin. I’ve already solved that problem by enlarging the opening. Moreover, I also rec’d the charging pod today but the strap doesn’t seem to interfere with the pod at all. Hope this helps.
Update:
Ok. I jumped the gun a bit yesterday. No need to cut your skins to accommodate the strap. I realized this morning the strap’s elastic band slips right over the bottom edge of the skin. And as far as the pod goes, I was right. The strap doesn’t interfere with it at all. I used the pod last night, with the strap attached, and my BB was fully charged and ready to go this morning. Trust me, once you get the strap on, you don’t want to take it off. It’s a little tasking.

this is a great product for quick swipe for your phone on the go. The lanyard is made out of leather and has the blackberry logo on the silver square area.
